Yes, you read that header right. Just six months after the 2011 limits were released (and as-promised by HUD), we now have the 2012 limits. According to the HUD website, they are effective 12/01/2011. As a reminder, the MTSP (tax credit) income limits must be implemented within 45 days. The Zeffert & Associates new file review database system is being updated, so our file review clients can rest assured that the correct limits will be used as their files are reviewed.

The 2012 Medicare cost increase has been announced. Effective 1/1/2012, the monthly deduction for Part B is $99.90. For affordable housing programs that calculated rent based on adjusted income,What volume of tax credits can a state allocate in 2012? Rev. Proc. 2011-52 tells us.
For calendar year 2012, the amount used under Section 42(h)(3)(C)(ii) to calculate the state LIHTC is the greater of $2.20 multiplied by the state population or $2,525,000.
